Stretching from Heidelberg in
the west to the Tsitsikamma Forest in the East, the Garden Route is a necklace of cliffs,
bays, beaches and towns, strung along a beautiful coastline. Inland, the Klein Karoo is
home to the ostrich industry and the Cango Caves. The Cango Caves, one of the countries
top tourist attractions, are an illuminated wonderland of subterranean beauty, containing
three kilometres of passageways and chambers.
The Knysna Lagoon lies at the heart of the Garden Route and is guarded by the sandstone
'Heads', surrounded by mountains, forests, lakes and the ocean. |
